He served as a Technical Program Committee in The 2010 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management (IEEM2010) and IEEM2011. He is a Full Member of Sigma Xi, The Scientific Research Society, a Postdoctoral Member of The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), a Regular Member of The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and a Regular Member of The American Society for Information Science and Technology (ASIS&T).

He was an Independent Expert at International Collaboration for Science of Science Policy in Service Innovations, a Working Group of The Cabinet Office of Japan for FY2009 and FY2010. He was listed by Who’s Who in the World, 2012.

He also had an industrial experience as a product manager and software engineer at Rakuten Inc., one of the largest internet company in Japan. One of his achievement was to develop the strategy to get more traffic from outside Rakuten’s ecosystem and manage a team to launch Rakuten’s APIs, which is the most used webservice in Japan. He also developed algorithms of contextual and affiliate-based advertisement engine, map-based community service, and EAN-based catalog service. In May 2009, he was promoted to an Executive Officer of the company at his age 28.
